Lisa’s historical research includes archival scholarship that dives into the background of land plot, structure, family, artistic embellishment and social contextual history– with full written documentation and provenance provided.  Her experience not only as the author of Resurrecting Allegheny City, but as well her successful Artistic Agenting since 1992 are brought to bear.  (Lisa has sold paintings and antique instruments nationally, as well as represented vintage political posters at Swann Galleries NYC and sold to Center for Political Graphics LA.)

Lisa also delves into neighborhood identity issues.  She is adept and experienced at communicating among various community entities and across various demographics to capitalize on and preserve the historic elements of a property.  Her expertise as a teaching artist, in particular tostimulate a community via its history© is utilized not only by community groups, but also those involving preservation in development.  Her mission beyond historical education is to communicate the benefits of proper enhancement of a neighborhood, when necessary, by artistically blending with good design new elements to creatively coexist with the old.
